At least up on Capitol Hill. I noticed this on the walk home after watch the show. Even on the far (east) side of the hill my eyes were burning. It reminded me of smoggy days in Southern California. I assumed it was from a combination of smoke from fireworks and the nearby marina fire (of which I did not know of at the time).

This photo (and it's neighbors) illustrate some of that smoke:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/96201513@N00/9217231232/in/photostream/
dbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18099698017813709699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478606652950905956.post-10622889201931190512013-07-06T13:00:10.667-07:002013-07-06T13:00:10.667-07:00Have you considered that a lot of particulates wou...Have you considered that a lot of particulates would have been generated by the smoke from thousands of barbecues? I think one or two hours of barbecuing per grill could have contributed about as much particulate pollution as a few minutes of fireworks.Ted Sternhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15298055747984752174noreply@blogger.com
