Mostly low 20's at night to high 20's during the day here - we're just 5 miles north of Monroe in unincorporated Snohomish county. We're tired of it and so are our ducks. Please come back, rain.Linda Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16139186679429408550noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478606652950905956.post-52163841738114179962013-01-19T22:41:52.900-08:002013-01-19T22:41:52.900-08:00Enjoyed a 12 mile run late Saturday afternoon in B...Enjoyed a 12 mile run late Saturday afternoon in Bellingham, shrouded by dense fog and the accompany moisture. Sure, it's nice to head up to Baker for warmer temps, sun, and soft (albeit old, at this point) snow. But hey, it's January in Western Washington, and there's something to be for genuinely experiencing the weather.Colleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04850024758134899093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478606652950905956.post-56378447370772545142013-01-19T18:15:30.536-08:002013-01-19T18:15:30.536-08:00I hiked rattlesnake ledge today. it was bright and...I hiked rattlesnake ledge today. it was bright and sunny and as we hiked the temperature became warmer. But I may be X-C skiing tomorrow.

It seems like when we get a high in February, and thereafter, we are far less likely to get these inversions. May times there will be temps about 55 in February... when it's sunny. Is it because the sun is higher in the sky that it produces enough surface heat to stir the air, and that this prevents the development of fog and stagnant conditions?

Anselhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13835758313287462921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478606652950905956.post-88894092770735800342013-01-19T12:54:07.250-08:002013-01-19T12:54:07.250-08:00I'm not liking this inversion weather.
