Within about a minute it went from almost calm to blowing about 20 knots and singing in the rigging.Anselhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13835758313287462921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478606652950905956.post-57829124483985929022020-04-13T07:21:10.316-07:002020-04-13T07:21:10.316-07:00Lots of vitamin C. Everett, about 400 feet in elevation, on the slight down slope of what is referred to here as Madison Ridge...the Sound is maybe a half mile West of us...this late afternoon we have been experiencing light-to moderate breezes that sometimes make our utility wires briefly sing their spooky dirge!...the air is so clean and nice to experience! I am now a 73yo Seattle-born guy,and as I age, I appreciate our moderate, mostly gentle climate (but I well never forget Columbus Day, 1962!) lolcurbozer boomerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17736912740094052121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478606652950905956.post-10685065903115093062020-04-12T15:44:28.938-07:002020-04-12T15:44:28.938-07:00Very interesting, Cliff! We started our trip in Newport, Oregon and after two or three days made it out to Cape Flattery. I had mentioned how our northwest ocean winds drew the people to the coast for cool air during the heat of summer. They both thought this was one of the silliest things they'd ever heard - "We go to the beach for the sun and the heat - you come for the cold? That's crazy!"Hugh Barretthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09764601216859953692noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478606652950905956.post-12268759409478853522020-04-11T23:24:12.761-07:002020-04-11T23:24:12.761-07:00Relevant: the air has been exceptionally dry in We...Relevant: the air has been exceptionally dry in Western Whatcom County today.Friendhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16113544345441368032noreply@blogger.com
