Hurricanes and drought in the south and southeast. Tornados, triple digit heat and blizzards in the central portions. If we could just figure out how to turn the tap off on Phoenix....
So, maybe the conservatives need to feel more of the Makers wrath in order to maintain the needed funding for NOAA & NWS
I will have to say it bugged me a bit after Katrina that they spent all of our money rebuilding a city which seems, to me, to be doomed. How many billion$?Matterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14044303918688042557noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478606652950905956.post-59866429335407364522011-08-24T21:04:47.893-07:002011-08-24T21:04:47.893-07:00Hey Cliff,

"For hurricanes specifically, "a loss of polar-orbiting satellite observations will result in some degradation in hurricane track and intensity forecasts in the important 3-5 day coastal evacuation planning period," NOAA spokesman John Leslie wrote in an e-mail to CNN." The article goes on to suggest that because the satellites are also used to study climate change, they may be targets for funding cuts.
