Sort of not very useful yet, but interesting to see how they're thinking about using it and the associated APIs.Tim Pritchardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04681966550993273035noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478606652950905956.post-7679006603007117942011-08-18T01:34:41.948-07:002011-08-18T01:34:41.948-07:00Don't know about you Professor, but down in th...Don't know about you Professor, but down in the Portland Banana Belt, most of us are reviewing our use of cooling power during the past few years, and have decided we like those lower electric bills. Mine was $85 under July of last year. Water bill for the lawn is down, too, running $60 lower bi-monthly, and lawn is still green. Tomatoes suffering, though, I'm trying to find my Mom's old recipes for pickled green tomatoes.Rivrdoghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02685083857476811667noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478606652950905956.post-76805825238972926922011-08-16T14:13:52.428-07:002011-08-16T14:13:52.428-07:00Hi, sorry if this is second time. Are records kept for what years have the lowest high temps for the year? I know its summer and you mentioned little in terms of 80's or 90's, also I'd be curious to know about year with warmest low temps.chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07577902542243119439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478606652950905956.post-78835926474349319812011-08-16T13:33:23.955-07:002011-08-16T13:33:23.955-07:00The main and larger of aeaa of colder waters off t...The main and larger of aeaa of colder waters off the coast appears perhaps to be slackening, also.richard583https://www.blogger.com/profile/00415086002282750839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478606652950905956.post-5842078263404686602011-08-16T10:44:38.500-07:002011-08-16T10:44:38.500-07:00http://www.dailytech.com/UC+Researchers+Produce+Fi...http://www.dailytech.com/UC+Researchers+Produce+First+Quantitative+Estimate+of+Fukushima+Radiation+Leak/article22458.htm This article will interest you, Professor Mass; it basically agrees with the calm assessment you offered back in late March/early April. In particular, this sentence struck me: <i>"Although the spike that we measured was very high compared to background levels of radioactive sulfur, the absolute amount of radiation that reached California was small," said Thiemens. "The levels we recorded aren't a concern for human health. In fact, it took sensitive instruments, measuring radioactive decay for hours after lengthy collection of the particles, to precisely measure the amount of radiation."</i>JewelyaZhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09434569437851248356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478606652950905956.post-22738449870582549052011-08-16T09:01:15.543-07:002011-08-16T09:01:15.543-07:00You mean that maybe my spring planting of peas wil...You mean that maybe my spring planting of peas will finally come through?Don Carterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15371860848732001580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478606652950905956.post-44623626695774039072011-08-16T08:53:56.891-07:002011-08-16T08:53:56.891-07:00Wow -- one day I fail to look at the extended outl...Wow -- one day I fail to look at the extended outlooks and look at what happens. The temps for the 8-14 day outlook from yesterday also look real good. Oddly, however, the precipitation outlook for those same two periods has above normal precip predicted, which frankly doesn't make a whole lot of sense for this time of year. The weather discussions from the Seattle WFO also haven't sounded quite that optimistic.Lindseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06672849934921996050noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478606652950905956.post-69224559709349263192011-08-16T02:22:10.355-07:002011-08-16T02:22:10.355-07:00Just speaking for myself - this recent weather has...Just speaking for myself - this recent weather has been about perfect! Sunny, low to mid 70s, just the slightest breeze... what's not to like?<br /><br />I know the tomatoes and cucumbers would like it warmer, but this suits me just fine.Westside guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07171473508596734156noreply@blogger.com
