My next version will be at higher resolution.
And I am thinking of doing one where I can interactively answer weather questions....just need to figure out how to do that.....
This blog discusses current weather, weather prediction, climate issues, and current events
U.S. government weather prediction once led the world. That is no longer true. NOAA/National Weather Service (NWS) global numerical weather...
Hi Cliff, I am pretty much a daily viewer in Whistler, BC and in the ski business. I like this format and so nice to hear your calming voice. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI like it.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you could set up a twitch.com or youtube live broadcast where questions could be submitted via the chat feature. Free or ... Some musicians are doing so and hosting live concerts with donation links.
ReplyDeleteThank You for this very good info. Great presentation !
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas!
ReplyDeleteExcellent! Thanks
ReplyDeleteGreat start! I would suggest that you maximize your browser window to eliminate desktop distractions and fill the screen with the information you're conveying.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your continued efforts to educate us. They are appreciated.
Loved it! Was a good way to present all the data. Althogh we have access to most of these same data sources, was helpful to have you providing interpretation. Would also be great to show any tips you have for getting the most value/insight out of the various products.

ReplyDeleteExcellent presentation...please continue..
One point on my Android phone I could not play it directly..had to download the large video file then it played fine.

I really enjoyed the information. The pace was nice unlike the forced download on tv, it really allowed time to see and understand what the image is telling. I vote for more forecast discussions like this one!
ReplyDeleteThis was wonderful, Cliff! Great to hear your voice.
ReplyDeleteHow about looking at the longer range forecasts (CPC 6-10, 8-14 and seasonal) and giving your thoughts on their accuracy and how to make them better.
Awesome!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cliff. A nice change from the doom & gloom of the news.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cliff. Really enjoyed this!
ReplyDeleteYes, great video. Would like to see another one
ReplyDeleteHi Cliff. Thanks for your Weather Discussion on Line. We gathered around the computer, of course keeping 6 feet between my wife and me, to follow your Discussion. Please keep it coming.
ReplyDeleteexcellent!
ReplyDeleteYes, please. As often as you're willing and able. Your voice is such a comfort and the info you share is powerful. This was awesome.
ReplyDeleteTYSM!
P.S. I hope the birds arrive soon.
Hi Cliff, I LOVE THIS! Thank you. PS. The birds are already here... one must simply slow down to hear them, then go back to singing happy birthday. Go Wash Your Hands! :-)
ReplyDeleteI was not able to watch it; I got a message that the allowed number of playbacks had been exceeded.
ReplyDeleteThat was excellent! I would love to see these regularly!
ReplyDeletewould not play. said the number of playbacks had been exceeded!! try again later.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it! I sometimes am challenged reading all the graphic information and really appreciate your explanations. Please do more.
ReplyDeleteI greatly prefer reading it. I can read it far faster than you can say it, and I can skip forward or back with an easy click rather than trying to find the spot in the recording I want to hear again. I can linger on one graphic without having to stop the recording.
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed the great information well conveyed. Thanks for putting this together for us Prof. Mass. Please make more (and yes, higher-res would be nice).
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! This was very informative and super interesting! My husband and I both fly small airplanes for a living in the Seattle area and read your blog on a regular basis. Would love to be able to ask questions on the next one. Thanks for providing this content in a time when we are all home and in need of mental stimulation.
ReplyDeleteDaily is good for me, Cliff ;)
ReplyDeleteNicely done . . . would like to see more of these even during "normal times".
ReplyDeleteWatched with my 11-year-old, and we enjoyed it. Please make more, we'll definitely watch!
ReplyDeleteI’ll be looking for any future videos. Thanks for the effort in producing this. BTW, the Swallows are here. Over a hundred on Lk Roesiger as I write this.
ReplyDeleteI’ll definitely be watching for future videos. Thanks for taking the time to produce this.
ReplyDeleteBTW, the swallows are back! Over a hundred right now on Lk Roesiger.
Me too. What would be even more helpful for me is an occasional translation of the local forecast discussion from the NWS. I believe I usually understand the gist of what they are talking about but some of the details are difficult to decipher.
ReplyDeleteI like it too. What would be even more helpful to me is an occasional translation of the NWS local forecast discussion. I usually get the gist of it, but it would be nice to get some clarification on technical aspects.
ReplyDeleteYes, fantastic, as often as you are inclined.
ReplyDeleteThanks!!

Loved it. Weather affects us all in a myriad of ways. More depth and understanding is great. and useful
ReplyDeleteGreat video Cliff, thank you for taking time out to do this amidst the global chaos, you really do have "the" best voice for broadcast! ... I also recommend using a platform YouTube live and should be as simple as using your Google account and then following the setup instructions at ... https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2474026?hl=en&ref_topic=9257984. Looking forward to it! Take care and stay healthy.
ReplyDeletereally enjoyed this Cliff. I wasn't able to enlarge the video and it was a bit hard to see some details. but great stuff! thank you!
ReplyDeleteYes, please continue. In contrast to the static blog pages, your ability to focus our attention on specific features of the maps and pages greatly enhances understanding.
ReplyDeleteThumbs up!!
ReplyDeleteThis was great! I wish the local news stations would devote more time and information like this on the weather segment.
ReplyDeleteGreat Cliff! Perhaps add upper air dynamics driving local weather?
ReplyDeleteLove it. Zoom is a good platform for an interactive option.
