Weather Discussion Online!

Since many are stuck at home, I thought it would be fun and useful to provide a forecast discussion with lots of images and graphics.  Check it out and let me know if you want me to do it regularly.

My next version will be at higher resolution.

And I am thinking of doing one where I can interactively answer weather questions....just need to figure out how to do that.....

  1. Hi Cliff, I am pretty much a daily viewer in Whistler, BC and in the ski business. I like this format and so nice to hear your calming voice. Thank you.

  2. Perhaps you could set up a twitch.com or youtube live broadcast where questions could be submitted via the chat feature. Free or ... Some musicians are doing so and hosting live concerts with donation links.

  4. Great start! I would suggest that you maximize your browser window to eliminate desktop distractions and fill the screen with the information you're conveying.

Thank you for your continued efforts to educate us. They are appreciated.

  5. Loved it! Was a good way to present all the data. Althogh we have access to most of these same data sources, was helpful to have you providing interpretation. Would also be great to show any tips you have for getting the most value/insight out of the various products.

  7. I really enjoyed the information. The pace was nice unlike the forced download on tv, it really allowed time to see and understand what the image is telling. I vote for more forecast discussions like this one!

  8. This was wonderful, Cliff! Great to hear your voice.

How about looking at the longer range forecasts (CPC 6-10, 8-14 and seasonal) and giving your thoughts on their accuracy and how to make them better.

  13. Hi Cliff, I LOVE THIS! Thank you. PS. The birds are already here... one must simply slow down to hear them, then go back to singing happy birthday. Go Wash Your Hands! :-)

  14. I was not able to watch it; I got a message that the allowed number of playbacks had been exceeded.

  17. I LOVE it! I sometimes am challenged reading all the graphic information and really appreciate your explanations. Please do more.

  18. I greatly prefer reading it. I can read it far faster than you can say it, and I can skip forward or back with an easy click rather than trying to find the spot in the recording I want to hear again. I can linger on one graphic without having to stop the recording.

  20. Thank you so much! This was very informative and super interesting! My husband and I both fly small airplanes for a living in the Seattle area and read your blog on a regular basis. Would love to be able to ask questions on the next one. Thanks for providing this content in a time when we are all home and in need of mental stimulation.

  26. Me too. What would be even more helpful for me is an occasional translation of the local forecast discussion from the NWS. I believe I usually understand the gist of what they are talking about but some of the details are difficult to decipher.

  30. Great video Cliff, thank you for taking time out to do this amidst the global chaos, you really do have "the" best voice for broadcast! ... I also recommend using a platform YouTube live and should be as simple as using your Google account and then following the setup instructions at ... https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2474026?hl=en&ref_topic=9257984. Looking forward to it! Take care and stay healthy.
