Some TV weather folks and social media outlets have discussed monsoonal moisture hitting the Northwest.
Such as the clouds and attendant rain hitting eastern Washington over the past few days (see satellite image from last evening).

It looks like a summer transition to La Nina is no longer in the cards. The progression of the ONI from El Nino to La Nina has slowed during the summer and now a fall transition to La Nina appears solidly favored by the latest outlooks.
